A pleasant walk in the historic center of Turin: from the heart of the city, Piazza San Carlo, we walk to Piazza Castello, where you can admire the Baroque buildings, including Palazzo Madama and Palazzo Reale, a great harmony composition with the Chiablese Gallery and one wing of the Muncipal Library (in whose vault is preserved the self-portrait of Leonardo da Vinci). After, we go into the San Lorenzo Church, the Savoy royal chapel, considered one of the hundred most beautiful churches in the world.
The route continues with Palazzo Carignano, which dominates, with its beautiful undulating front, one of the most elegant squares of the city. A place rich in history and tradition, Piazza Carignano is a "concentrated of the Risorgimento"; Count Cavour came from Parliament every day to lunch at the renowned Ristorante del Cambio...
The walk goes around the Subalpina Gallery, Art Nouveau style, to tell the story of bicerin, drink made of cream, coffee and chocolate with hazelnuts from Piedmont ... A delight!
